Call Myself a Writer?

Paddytum out September 18th

I know, it’s such a long time since I updated this, but I now have something fairly newsworthy to post.

Shame on me, though, because I completely neglected to mention that it was being published in the first place, and that a few months ago I was shortlisted in a big writing competition: The Brit Writers Awards 2010.

Paddytum was a story I began on Protagonize.com almost exactly two years ago.  I updated it very infrequently over the course of the following thirteen months, despite the nagging of several of my fellow Protag members, and eventually submitted it to Hirst Publishing, an independent publisher, who accepted it even though it was only up to eight chapters (and around 10,000 words) at the time.  The finished novel is around 85,000 words and 38 chapters including the Epilogue, and is available to order.
